Architecture, Furniture Design, Colors, and the occasional kitten
Art deco is an eclectic artistic and design style that began in Paris in the 1920s and flourished internationally throughout the 1930s and into the World War II era. The style influenced all areas of design, including architecture and interior design, industrial design, fashion and jewelry, as well as the visual arts such as painting, graphic arts and film.
Art Deco interior design has a very unique look; its design features elements that are very streamlined, geometric and often even curvaceous.
Here are some photos of a modern, art deco inspired home. Though not following true art deco, I found this home to be truly inspiring and possessing some art deco elements such as bold color and pattern, curvaceous shapes, and elegance.
